As a key member of the team, the Coordinator will:

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, maintaining the integrity of the program
- Monitor student progress and provide guidance to ensure successful completion of externship requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams to support students' transition from externship to full-time employment

- Build and maintain a robust network of externship sites for Medical Assistant students
- Achieve and sustain a minimum 40% extern-to-hire conversion rate across assigned sites
- Conduct regular site visits to evaluate student performance and strengthen relationships with externship partners
- Ensure program compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards, including adherence to TWC regulations
- Collaborate with Career Services and Placement teams to facilitate students' transition into full-time employment opportunities
- Provide counseling to students on attendance, professionalism, and performance expectations during their externship experience
- Conduct externship orientations and assist students with resume writing and interview preparation
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation, including timecards, evaluations, and affiliation agreements
- Track student progress, ensuring completion of final evaluations and exit interviews
- Promote the externship program within the medical community through outreach and networking initiatives
- A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the medical assisting field
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential is required
- CPR certification is preferred
- No prior teaching experience is necessary; however, a strong passion for supporting student success is essential
