What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Support Personnel I position at the Chickasaw Nation?
We are currently looking for a Full Time Pharmacy Support Personnel I to join our Outpatient Pharmacy Customer Service team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center working .
Summary:
Provides clerical and administrative support services to the Pharmacy Department.
Responsibilities:
- Answers the phone, transfers calls, takes messages and screens calls per guidelines for areas served
- Assists patients on medications that may be refilled at a Chickasaw Nation facility, or medications that need to be redirected to a different pharmacy
- Assists patients in the Drive-Thru on picking up refill medications and discharges
- Couples medications with GSL software and place within GSL cabinets
- Handles medication refill processing to include correct medication processing and correct delivery method inputs
- Assists Pharmacy Courier and Transportation Drivers in finding patient medications and getting them to their destinations
- Assists Pharmacy staff in gaining State approved identification of patients receiving and/or picking up control medications
- Performs reception duties for the pharmacy department, receives and logs patients' medical records and assists patient in accessing pharmacy services
- Files material in proper files, classifies and established a cross reference for easy future access
- Assists in performing housekeeping assignments and maintains the Pharmacy in a neat and orderly condition by dusting and cleaning of work areas and equipment
- Assists patients in tracking package information within GlobalShip, both USPS and FedEx
- Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
