A rapidly growing Charleston-based hospitality group is seeking a hands-on Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll operations for a large, multi-location organization of roughly 1,000 employees. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll corporate teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and process payroll for ~1,000 hourly and salaried employees across multiple sites
- Ensure compliance with multi-state taxes, wage & hour laws, and overtime rules
- Review payroll reports, audit data, and resolve discrepancies
- Support onboarding/offboarding, employee changes, and timekeeping accuracy
- Provide month-end reporting and coordination with Finance
- Maintain documentation and assist with process improvements and system enhancements
Qualifications
- 3 years of payroll management experience
- Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance (bonus)
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance and multi-state regulations
- Workday Payroll experience a plus
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
- Clear and effective communicator who can support property and corporate teams
