About the Role
We’re a growing commercial and industrial HVAC/mechanical contractor looking for a high-energy, relationship-driven Business Development Representative to help expand our presence throughout the Chicagoland market.
This role is perfect for someone who loves meeting people, building connections, and being the face of a company. You don’t need to be an HVAC expert — we’ll train you on the technical side. What you do need is confidence, personality, follow-through, and the ability to build trust quickly.
If you enjoy networking, attending events, visiting jobsites, and creating opportunities through relationships, this role was built for you.
What You’ll Do
- Build relationships with property managers, facility managers, general contractors, and commercial/industrial clients
- Generate new business opportunities through networking, outreach, events, and in-person meetings
- Represent the company at industry events, lunches, happy hours, association meetings, and client outings
- Visit jobsites and client locations to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities
- Introduce potential clients to our services and coordinate next steps with internal teams
- Support growth for both commercial construction and service opportunities
- Maintain regular communication with existing clients to build long-term partnerships
- Track leads, activity, and relationships in CRM systems
- Help increase brand awareness and market presence across Chicagoland
- Bring enthusiasm, professionalism, and positive energy to everything you do
What We’re Looking For
- Outgoing, confident, and personable communicator
- Someone who naturally builds relationships and enjoys talking to people
- Self-motivated and comfortable being out in the field
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills
- Experience in sales, business development, recruiting, hospitality, promotions, account management, or event-based roles is a plus
- Brand ambassador, marketing, or networking-heavy experience is a strong advantage
- Commercial construction or HVAC exposure is helpful, but not required
- Team-oriented mindset with a humble, positive attitude
- Professional, polished, and comfortable representing a company in social settings
- Someone who can fit a fun, collaborative culture while still executing at a high level
Why This Role Stands Out
- Relationship-first sales role — not transactional or desk-bound
- Training provided on the industry and services
- Strong support from operations and estimating teams
- Competitive base pay with upside through commission and bonuses
- Benefits package included
- Opportunity to grow with a company that values culture, personality, and long-term success
Salary : $60,000 - $130,000
