Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Floor Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food preparation, restaurant management, and customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining exceptional service quality across casual dining, fine dining, or catering settings. The Floor Manager will play a vital role in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, including shift management and team coordination
- Oversee food preparation, food handling, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Monitor inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Train and develop staff on food safety, customer service, and operational procedures
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting related to food production and service
- Support kitchen management activities including food production, catering, banquet events, and bar operations
- Lead by example in hospitality management practices to foster a welcoming environment for guests and staff
Experience
- Proven management experience within the food industry, ideally in quick service & fast-food restaurants or fine dining settings
- Demonstrated supervising experience with staff training & development responsibilities
- Strong background in restaurant management including shift management, kitchen management, and hospitality operations
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Experience in food preparation, culinary arts, or kitchen operations is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and compliance standards
- Previous roles involving customer service excellence and team leadership are preferred
- Experience with budgeting, inventory control, and food cost management is advantageous
