Overview:
The Tool Calibration Coordinator is responsible for supporting the company's calibration program by ensuring measurement and inspection equipment is collected, processed, and returned in accordance with established calibration schedules. This position serves as the primary liaison between production departments and the calibration laboratory, helping maintain compliance with quality system requirements while minimizing equipment downtime. The Tool Calibration Coordinator works closely with calibration technicians, production personnel, and quality teams to ensure calibrated equipment is available when needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor calibration due dates and coordinate the collection of tools and measuring equipment scheduled for calibration.
  • Visit production and support areas to collect gauges, measuring devices, and inspection equipment approaching their calibration due dates.
  • Deliver equipment to the calibration laboratory for in-house calibration or preparation for outside calibration services.
  • Coordinate with calibration technicians regarding equipment status and expected completion dates.
  • Return calibrated equipment to the appropriate departments in a timely manner.
  • Verify that calibration labels and documentation are complete before returning equipment to service.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment movement and calibration status.
  • Assist in locating overdue or missing calibration equipment.
  • Communicate with department supervisors regarding scheduled equipment collection and return.
  • Prepare equipment for shipment to external calibration providers when required.
  • Receive and inspect equipment returned from outside calibration vendors.
  • Help maintain an organized calibration laboratory and storage areas.
  • Support inventory and identification of measurement and test equipment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality system requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Quality Department.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and data entry.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to walk throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license (if required for company vehicle use).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, quality, or production environment.
  • Familiarity with basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges.
  • Experience using inventory, ERP, or calibration management software.
  • Understanding of quality systems or calibration processes (training provided).

Salary : $61,207 - $98,823
