**Position Summary**
The Dishwasher/Dining Facility Attendant supports kitchen and dining operations by cleaning dishes, maintaining sanitation standards, and ensuring a clean and organized dining environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment manually or using dish machines
- Operate dishwashing equipment, including loading/unloading racks and maintaining proper temperatures
- Sort and organize dishes, glassware, and silverware
- Maintain cleanliness of dining and kitchen areas, including tables, floors, counters, and service areas
- Bus tables and replenish self-service stations
- Clean kitchen equipment, hoods, grease traps, mats, doors, and windows
- Follow OSHA safety standards and food sanitation guidelines
- Complete required food handler training and company trainings
- Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and customers
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
- Previous dishwashing, janitorial, or food service experience preferred
- Ability to follow simple instructions and complete assigned tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Alaska driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must have an insured vehicle
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Ability to obtain site clearance (JBER access if applicable)
- Familiarity with dishwashing equipment and cleaning tools
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and cleaning chemicals (MSDS)
- Strong teamwork and customer service skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly, 50 lbs frequently, and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks
- Exposure to heat, moisture, and cleaning chemicals
- Fast-paced kitchen environment with loud noise levels
