Summary

The Ash Group is hiring an SAP S/4 HANA Solution Architect for our client (a major electricity and natural gas utility provider). This is a Hybrid 12-month contract role based in Denver, CO, offering a pay rate of $108.00 per hour.

We are seeking a high-level architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of SAP landscapes with a specific focus on Clean Core principles and IS-U (Utilities) integration. This role has a strong potential for conversion to a full-time employee (FTE).

Role Details

• Compensation: $108.00 per hour.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and govern the end-to-end solution architecture for SAP S/4HANA and its connectivity with non-SAP systems (specifically AWS).
• Advocate for and enforce Clean Core principles, minimizing custom code to maximize operational resiliency and ease of future upgrades.
• Lead the design of integration layers using SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), including the Integration Suite, Event Mesh, and SAP DataSphere.
• Solutioning for core SAP IS-U business processes, focusing on critical streams such as FICA, Billing, and Meter/Device Management.
• Define and socialize reusable patterns for enterprise-wide adoption, ensuring high availability, security, and observability across the landscape.
• Collaborate with functional teams to modernize legacy HANA BW environments into contemporary Business Data Cloud architectures.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 10 years in SAP technologies with at least 5 years specifically in SAP S/4HANA Utilities (IS-U).
• Integration Expertise: 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management).
• Cloud Knowledge: 3 years of experience integrating SAP landscapes with AWS technologies and data movement tools.
• Functional Depth: Expertise in at least two main IS-U streams (e.g., Billing, FICA, or Device Management).
• Architecture Skills: Proven ability to define standards and patterns; familiarity with frameworks like TOGAF or LeanIX is a plus.
• Education/Cert: Bachelor’s degree preferred; SAP Certified Solution Architect or Technology Professional certification is highly desired.
