Summary
The Ash Group is hiring a hands-on Help Desk Specialist for our client (a major electricity and natural gas utility provider) based onsite in Minneapolis, MN.
This is a Level 2 deskside support role requiring 5–7 years of real-world, in-person experience supporting corporate end-users. You will be responsible for full hardware/software lifecycle support, from new hire setups to advanced incident troubleshooting across both Windows and (some) Mac environments.
Role Details
- Compensation: Competitive pay rate of $25 per hour.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide Level 2 deskside support for internal employees, handling incident tickets and managing service requests.
- Execute full hardware lifecycle support, including imaging machines, loading software, and conducting new hire setups (laptops/desktops).
- Troubleshoot complex hardware and software incidents, primarily supporting Windows 11 and Office 365 environments.
- Utilize an incident management system (experience with ServiceNow is preferred) to track and resolve tickets efficiently.
- Collaborate within a supportive team environment, demonstrating strong problem-solving and communication skills with end-users.
What We’re Looking For
- 5–7 years of dedicated experience in an in-person, deskside support role (not strictly call center support).
- Proficiency in supporting and troubleshooting Windows 11 operating systems and the full Office 365 suite.
- Experience performing hardware and software installation, configuration, and repair for corporate-grade laptops and desktops.
- A Valid Driver’s License and dependable transportation are required for minimal travel between local offices (mileage reimbursed).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; exposure to MacBooks is a plus but not required.
