Summary:
Responsible for managing logistics and documentation for international import/export of U.S. export-controlled goods (subject to EAR and ITAR). Ensures compliance with federal, customs, and local regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations (HTS, Schedule B, ECCN, EAR, ITAR, OFAC)
- Experience with EEI submissions via ACE portal
- Familiar with import/export license management and recordkeeping
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Must be eligible for a DoD security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage import/export clearance, documentation, and compliance
- Act as point of contact for all customs transactions
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory bodies
- Submit EEI filings and monitor shipment progress
- Track and manage export/import license usage and records
- Classify goods using HTS, ECCN, and USML; support classification methodology
- Support MRO team with U.S. Goods return shipments (9801)
- Audit customs entries (7501) for accuracy and compliance
