What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Receiving Inspector position at The Ascent Group, Inc.?
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming electrical/mechanical parts, raw materials, and returns for conformity, defects, damage, and proper traceability.
- Verify materials from approved suppliers meet engineering specs and inspection plans.
- Generate and process Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support MRB activities.
- Use measuring devices and inspection systems (e.g., TipQA/Apriso) to record results.
- Communicate inspection findings clearly with engineering, production, and management.
- Maintain compliance with AS9100, safety regulations, and company procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus 3 years in aerospace, MRO, or manufacturing quality inspection.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 standards, inspection techniques, and nonconforming material control.
- Ability to read/interpret drawings, blueprints, and digital models.
- Proficient with inspection software/tools and basic computer applications.
- Keen visual acuity to detect flaws/defects.
- Strong judgment, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $31.00 - $39.00 per hour
