Position Information
One of the ways we do this is through our Inclusive Community Programs, including the community center, community inclusion and community engagement programs.
The purpose of this position is to achieve agency and program objectives as the manager of the Inclusive Community Programs (ICP) staff, operations, and budgets through effective collaboration with clients, members, community partners, and stakeholders (including guardians, family members, advocates, case managers, residential providers, and others). ICP includes Community Center (CC), Community Inclusion and Community Engagement. Primary goals for the ICP manager include following contracts and statements of work and will focus on delivering effective planning, coaching, activity development, and meaningful activities that meet the needs and desires of the clients and members to maximize opportunities for community inclusion, engagement, social development, community of belonging, and the development of significant relationships with others in the community.

This position will be based at The Arc of Spokane’s main building in Downtown Spokane, but it also requires travel to various sites throughout the Greater Spokane region. The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday from 8am-4:30pm but does require some flexibility to meet client, staff, program, and agency needs.
Qualified candidates should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 experience in the developmental disabilities and/or community inclusion field.
- Leadership, management and/or supervisory experience.
- Excellent organizational, administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
- Positive, collaborative attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize time.
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be proficient with MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- Must be committed to self-advocacy and personal choice for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Requirements:
- Able to work well with all levels of internal management and staff and with external clients and partners.
- Must be able to successfully pass required background checks
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Driver’s license, automobile insurance and clean motor vehicle record for past 5 years.
Compensation: $26.00-$28.60*starting range, entire scale to $33.80 per hour, Non-exempt, Full-time 40 hours per week, Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, 14 Paid Holidays, Vacation, Sick, Personal Leave and mileage reimbursement.
- All pay is based on longevity at The Arc of Spokane; thus, the starting pay for this position is $26.00 per hour.
