Director of Public Relations & Foundation-Sullivan County, NY

The Arc Greater Hudson Valley is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to providing support and services to over 1,800 people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and to their families in Sullivan, Orange and Dutchess Counties, New York. A chapter of The Arc New York, our main offices are located at 162 East Broadway in Monticello, NY.

Our agency offers a broad range of services including Residential Services, Clinical Services, Day Services, Family Support Services, Guardianship Services, Employment Services, Recreation and more. Our mission is to support people with unique abilities to live as valued and contributing members of the community.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the overall management and direction of communications, marketing, media, donor relations, fundraising appeals and event planning. Manage donor database, create and oversee mailings and email blasts. Manage and update website. Create or oversee the creation of all printed publications. Participate in Foundation Board Meetings and communicate with Foundation Board Members.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of marketing and/or communications experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Familiar with Mac OS platform, Adobe Creative Cloud programs, Microsoft Office, website management and social media platform content creation. Excellent communication, writing and editing abilities, design and layout skills. Database experience and grant writing experience a plus.
