Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Laminator/Scodix Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating advanced laminating and printing equipment, ensuring high-quality production standards, and maintaining efficient workflow during the second shift. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, experience with manufacturing processes, and proficiency. Duties
- Operate the Scodix machine (a digital enhancement machine that adds tactile finishes like foil and raised varnishes to create unique textures on a printed piece) and laminating equipment to produce high-quality printed materials according to specifications.
- Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment, including calibration using precision measuring instruments.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to ensure adherence to standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles.
- Document production data accurately using basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing and machine operation is a must, especially with machinery operation such as laminators or printing presses.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
