3rd Shift Paper Cutter

Overview
We are seeking detail-oriented and skilled 3rd Shift Paper Cutters who will use our guillotine paper cutters from 11pm-7am to cut paper/printed materials. This role is essential in ensuring precise cutting and finishing of printed material to meet high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing environments, with a keen eye for detail and familiarity with printing processes. This position offers an opportunity to work during overnight hours in a fast-paced, collaborative setting, contributing to the production of premium print materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate Guillotine paper cutting machines with precision to ensure accurate cuts according to specifications
• Perform quality control checks on finished products, verifying dimensions and overall quality
• Maintain and troubleshoot cutting equipment
• Assist with setup and calibration of cutting tools, ensuring proper alignment for each job
• Support prepress activities such as layout design, color management, and typography adjustments when necessary
• Collaborate with graphic design and print advertising teams to ensure print files are correctly prepared for production
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment during shift operations
• Utilize forklift or machining skills for material handling and equipment maintenance when required

Requirements

• Proven experience in manufacturing, printing, or related production environments, preferably with digital machinery knowledge
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, layout design, color management, and print file preparation
• Basic understanding of quality control processes and print advertising standards
• Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently
• Knowledge of graphic design principles, typography, and prepress procedures is a plus
• Forklift certification or experience is desirable but not mandatory
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work during overnight hours (3rd shift) in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift heavy materials safely and stand for extended periods during shift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
