The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST, GS-1910-11, to work at the Air Force Materiel Command, (AFMC) in the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) in the Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC) with OO-ALC-QA/309 MMXG at F.E. 2026 Salary Range: ($74,678-$97,087) / Yearly with locality

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS), by executing an aggressive world-class quality assurance program that includes autonomous surveillance and evaluations of all 309th Missile Maintenance Group's Rivet MILE products, core processes, and maintenance personnel. These activities are to provide group managers the visibility to assess and improve the proficiency of the work force, facilitate continuous process improvement, and provide the customer with high-quality products on time and at the promised cost.

The organizational goals or objectives of this position are to Evaluate, assess, audit, manage and facilitate technical and program management and compliance, production/product enhancement, and customer satisfaction within all 309 MXW production and support functions as described in Air Force, AFMC, OO-ALC, wing and other applicable directives. This will be accomplished through insistence on the use of disciplined engineering practices, strict adherence to technical data, a well-trained and motivate workforce, the correct tools and equipment, a quality work environment and strict process discipline.

Qualifications:

- U.S. Citizenship

- Obtain & maintain Security clearance

- This may be a designated Drug Testing Position

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable)

- The employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include overtime, and/or days, swings, or owl shifts.

- The employee may be required to work during base exercises, contingencies or emergency situations.

- The employee may occasionally travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft IAW Joint Travel Regulations to other government installations, contractor facilities, or other commercial Locations for both training and mission accomplishment.

- Employee will be required to obtain/maintain current Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) certifications.

- Travel to other installations to attend conferences, or working groups and or assist HQ inspections/evaluations may be required.

Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

1. Broad knowledge of a vast array of Missile Facility Depot Maintenance disciplines common to repair, modification, overhaul and manufacture of DoD assets, components and subcomponents, as applicable to a broad product area. (e. g, avionics, electronic and electrical equipment, aerospace equipment, components, and systems, raw processed or fabricated materials, missiles, missile components, ground transportation equipment, explosives handling, transportation and storage of missiles, and specialized industrial processes) including: product specifications and standards; production methods and processes required to assure product quality; material processes and treatments; use of specialized inspection and test equipment; and preservation, packing and packaging techniques, document and data control, and usage, configuration management, control of nonconforming product, and production processes.

2. Broad knowledge of a range of complex aerospace systems and products and general administrative and technical skills as applicable with controlling the quality of products manufactured, maintained, overhauled, and or modified by OO-ALC.

3. Thorough and detailed knowledge of and skill in executing QA methodologies to asses technical compliance and identify and analyze complex technical problems.

4. Broad knowledge of the practices, policies and procedures related to executing QA methodologies to assess technical compliance, identify and analyze complex technical problems, while ensuring safety.

5. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing to provide managers, supervisors, and employees program status, requirements, and evaluation/analysis results.

6. Ability to perform comprehensive assessments and meaningful analysis of internal/external data to provide management the foundation to assess problem areas and make sound business decisions.

7. Knowledge of the entire scope of the MXW quality programs and its relationship to other functional activities within the ALC, AFMC, and the industry complex to include it's relationship to the wing's quality management system, AS9100 quality principles and objectives, and knowledge of standard safety and health practices and established policies and procedures.
