A growing multidisciplinary civil engineering firm is seeking a Project Manager to support its land development team in Orlando. This is an urgent hire tied to a recent departure, with additional growth driven by expansion into new markets. The Project Manager / Senior Project Manager will focus on leading land development projects from concept through construction, overseeing design, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining strong client and municipal relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage land development projects from initial concept through construction completion
- Lead design and coordination of site layout, grading, stormwater, and utility systems
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, and internal teams
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful execution
- Coordinate permitting and entitlement processes across city, county, and state agencies
- Review engineering plans, calculations, and reports for quality and compliance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, surveyors, and consultants
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff
- Identify project risks and implement solutions to maintain timelines and budgets
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 6 years of experience in land/site development
- Strong experience with stormwater/drainage design and utility design (water & sewer)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within approximately 12 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience managing projects and client relationships preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
