Pay Rate - $12-13.00 an hour
Shift: Must be able to work rotating day and evening shifts during the week, including Saturdays and Holidays.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver world-class programming to guests of Thanksgiving Point Ashton Gardens with confidence, compassion and curiosity.
- Welcome, guide, and engage our guests’ curiosity as they explore one of the world’s largest displays of mounted dinosaurs, and even watch our Paleontologist unearth a 150-million-year-old Barosaurus! Assist guests as they explore what life was like 65 million years ago, with more than 50 different hands-on exhibits including our super popular Erosion Table and Quarry Dig sites.
- Coordinate program support with the Programming Manager, including customizing programs specific to assigned venue and venue’s needs.
- Train Explorers on how to conduct programming. Be a player coach to them. Demonstrate how to conduct the programming and provide feedback on how they can improve their presentations.
- Interact with visitors of all ages at the front desk and inside the venue, to ignite transformative family learning and guide exploration. Help in the development of confidence, curiosity, compassion, and STEM learning in our guests.
- Responsible for supporting, training, mentoring and developing team members for programming
- Collaborate with both the Guest Experience Manager and Programming Manager on helping with the success of the farm experience.
- Act as main contact for team members in the absence of other members of management to resolve guest complaints and other issues.
- Support the Thanksgiving Point mission, values, vision and commitment to the visitor experience and community engagement.
- Support operations that are involved with daily shows and programs.
- Assist management team in day-to-day guest services operations.
- Follow systems and standards, including scripts that reinforce the institute goals while achieving sales goals, membership goals and business development.
- Participates in a culture of ongoing learning, collaboration, innovation and creativity both within and across all departments.
- Ensure that team members have the necessary tools to be successful.
- Exemplify Thanksgiving Point’s Mission, Values and Policies with compassion, confidence, and curiosity.
- Other duties as assigned by the Guest Experience Manager.
Requirements:
- Excellent presentation skills including ability to interact and engage with small to large groups, groups of all ages, and those with varying levels of interest.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Positive attitude including great guest service skills and abilities.
- Ability to make decisions independently and work effectively as a team member.
- Organized, reliable, kind, and professional at all times.
- Able to stand on feet for long periods of time, lift 30 lbs., manipulate small objects, and speaks fluent English.
- Experience in customer service, presentation, hospitality, youth leadership, and/or museum preferred but not required.
- One year of experience in a supervisory role.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a background check.
- Be at least 18 years old.
