Early Childhood Outreach Specialist
Wage: $15/ hr
Shift: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Summary: As a member of the Learning and Engagement team, you will play an important role in bringing Thanksgiving Point’s mission to life for frontline team members, community partners, parents, and children across the state. This position is specifically responsible for managing Thanksgiving Point’s partnership with the Lehi based Dancing Moose Montessori and leading the design and delivery of community-based early childhood focused classes and workshops.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and lead early childhood outreach programs at community partner sites across Utah.
- Develop, adapt, and deliver accessible, age-appropriate curriculum for children and parent-child dyads.
- Train and mentor staff in effective program delivery and facilitation techniques.
- Coordinate schedules, logistics, and partner communications with professionalism and care.
- Manage a learning partnership with the Lehi Dancing Moose Montessori including site visits/field trips.
- Track participation metrics and support grant-based research and evaluation efforts.
- Support other community outreach programs’ design, delivery, evaluation, and reporting.
- Model Thanksgiving Point’s mission, values, and core character traits (curiosity, confidence and compassion) in your interactions with team members and guests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Deep understanding of early childhood development and how to support children and families in lifelong STEM learning and character growth; experience in early childhood education or community outreach preferred.
- Skilled in developing and delivering engaging, age-appropriate curriculum, lessons, and materials.
- Strong presentation, classroom management, and communication skills; able to engage diverse audiences with professionalism and empathy.
- Demonstrated ability to work kindly and inclusively with people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Comfortable working in dynamic environments with live animals, technology, and crowds; able to meet physical requirements such as lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma (or equivalent), pass a background check, and be willing to drive company vehicles.
