This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a 7-person accounting team and partnering closely with ownership, operations, and external stakeholders.What Youll DoLead and manage a 7-person accounting and finance teamOversee all financial operations, reporting, and complianceManage company-wide cash flow, forecasting, and liquidityPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsOversee job cost accounting, WIP reporting, and project profitabilityManage billing, accounts receivable, collections, and certified payrollPerform financial analysis and year-end profitability reviewsManage insurance audits, union audits, and commercial insurance renewalsOversee accounting for 78 entities (LLCs and trusts), including business and personal-related entitiesCoordinate tax preparation and reviews with external tax accountantsMaintain relationships with banks, unions, insurers, and external advisorsSupport employee reviews, bonus preparation, and oversight of benefit plansMaintain familiarity with 401(k) (Roth and non-Roth) and deferred compensation plansUtilize construction accounting software (Plexxis strongly preferred; On-Screen Takeoff/Quick Bid a plus)What Theyre Looking ForBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or 1520 years of construction finance experience10 years of accounting/finance experience in the construction industry (commercial preferred)Strong knowledge of job cost accounting, WIP, certified payroll, and construction billingUnion construction experience and understanding of union requirementsFamiliarity with construction liens, tax compliance, and insuranceExperience supporting companies with $50M$100M in annual revenueProven leadership and people-management experienceStrong accounting, analytical, and organizational skillsCompensation & Benefits$150,000$190,000 base salary, plusprofit-based bonus100% employer-paid medical insurance for employees401(k) with 6% employer match, plusprofit sharingPaid vacation, holidays, and sick timeLong-term stability with a well-established, family-owned companyOpportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule after establishment**********LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY ************Please Note: This position is open to candidates who are authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
