Job Description
Overview
Join a 46-bed Cardiac PCU/Stepdown (3rd floor) where 100% of patients are on telemetry. Typical cases: Afib, RVR, pre/post-cath, and cardiac comorbidities. Standard ratios 4–5:1 (may flex to 5–6). Night shift nurses here own rapid rhythm recognition, tight handoffs, and smooth throughput for a high-growth hospital.
Responsibilities
Perform focused cardiac assessments and continuous telemetry/rhythm interpretation; escalate promptly.
Manage meds and non-titrating drips; document responses and adverse events accurately.
Coordinate diagnostics/consults; partner on throughput, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction.
Educate patients/families on HF zones, anticoagulation safety, post-cath expectations, and follow-up.
Uphold core measures and safety bundles (falls, infection prevention) and deliver clean, concise handoffs.
Qualifications
Required
Active Florida RN (or compact; obtain active FL within 60 days if compact).
1 year RN experience (acute care required).
AHA BLS at start.
ASN/ADN or Nursing Diploma (BSN preferred).
Also Considered
LTACH, Home Health, or Rehab backgrounds with solid acute-care readiness.

Base: $30.76–$41.50/hr (experience-based).
