Job Duties:This position reports to the Rosenberg District Parole Office on a daily basis. Applications are expected to be able to perform routine administrative support work. Work involves providing administrative support including disseminating information; assisting with maintaining filing systems; and preparing and editing reports and documents. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.You'd be a GOOD fit if:You have graduated from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GEDYou have six months full-time, wage-earning customer service, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, or technical program support experience. Fifteen semester hours from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE) may be substituted for each six months of experience. You have computer operations experience preferred.

You can perform criminal information searches and retrieval using Texas Department of Public Safety criminal history system access. You can organize, assign, and review the work of others; and assists in training and providing technical assistance to others. You can perform a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.You have the ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, climb stairs, identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, analyze, alphabetize, lift and carry 15-44 lbs., perceive depth, operate a motor vehicle, and operate motor equipment. You are able to work in conditions inside, around machines with moving parts and moving objects, radiant and electrical energy, working closely with others, working alone, working protracted or irregular hours, and traveling by car, van, bus, and airplane. You can use equipment (machines, tools, devices) used in performing only the essential functions include computer and related equipment, calculator, copier, fax machine, telephone, dolly, and automobile.
