Provide customer service to internal and external customers related to the agencyand#8217;s drinking water program through verbal and written communication, correspondence, reports, meetings, presentations, and responses to Public Information Requests (PIRs).ENGINEER IVConduct and coordinate in office and/or on-site engineering and technical reviews, analyses, quality control and evaluations of routine to advanced (senior-level) information from internal and external customers to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; and follow up with appropriate actions.

Serve as a senior-level subject matter expert engineer for assigned programs/topics.ENGINEER VConduct, plan and coordinate in office and/or on-site engineering and technical reviews, analyses, quality control and evaluations of routine to advanced (senior-level) information from internal and external customers including advanced public water systems to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; and follow up with appropriate actions.

Serve as a senior-level subject matter expert engineer for assigned programs/topics.KEY QUALIFI ATIONSAwarded master's degree in engineering, environmental science, or related fields from an accredited college or university.
Experience with analyzing engineering design, maintenance, administration, and operations of public drinking water systems.
Licensed Surface Water Treatment Plant Operator.
Experience performing public drinking water systems analyses, such as evaluation of water quality, water chemistry, or water microbial assessment.
Experience preparing reports, correspondence, and recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCEENGINEER IIITexas Professional Engineer's license plus two years of full-time engineering experience beyond licensure.Qualifying work experience includes that obtained post licensure as an engineering graduate student or teacher.ENGINEER IVTexas Professional Engineer's license plus three years of full-time engineering experience beyond licensure.Qualifying work experience includes that obtained post licensure as an engineering graduate student or teacher.ENGINEER VTexas Professional Engineer's license plus four years of full-time engineering experience beyond licensure.Qualifying work experience includes that obtained post licensure as an engineering graduate student or teacher.Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility.
