The Director of Development for the Office of Corporate Relations serves as a strategic leader in advancing the Foundation’s corporate engagement and philanthropic goals. This position is responsible for designing and executing comprehensive fundraising and partnership initiatives that support the office’s mission, research priorities, and collaborative opportunities across Texas A&M University. The Director of Development will cultivate and steward relationships with corporate partners, donors, and stakeholders to secure major gifts, sponsorships, and strategic investments, while working closely with Foundation leadership, university administrators, and advancement teams. This role requires a dynamic, relationship-focused professional with a deep understanding of corporate philanthropy and a proven track record in development strategy and partner engagement.

What you’ll do…
Role
As the Director of Development, you will serve as an ambassador of the Texas A&M Foundation and Texas A&M University, uniting donor generosity with the university’s vision to shape a better future. In this leadership role, you will:
- Develop and implement strategic corporate engagement and fundraising plans aligned with the Foundation’s priorities and Texas A&M’s mission.
- Build and manage a portfolio of corporate partners and prospects, cultivating relationships that lead to impactful philanthropic and strategic support.
- Solicit gifts, sponsorships, and investments at major and principal levels to advance Texas A&M and the Foundation’s corporate relations objectives.
- Collaborate with university leadership and corporate stakeholders to identify partnership opportunities and communicate them effectively.
- Lead stewardship efforts to ensure corporate partners feel valued and informed about the impact of their engagement and giving.
- Mentor and guide development staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in corporate engagement.
- Represent the Foundation and the Office of Corporate Relations at events, meetings, and partner engagements to strengthen relationships and visibility.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of fundraising experience, including major gift solicitation.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic fundraising plans.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to the mission and vision of the Texas A&M Foundation.
- Master’s degree.
- 5 years of progressive development experience.
- Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) or comparable certification.
- Experience in nonprofit or higher education sectors.
- Demonstrated success in securing principal gifts and managing high-level donor relationships.
- Demonstrate the attributes and behaviors of a Passionate Professional Dedicated to Purposeful Philanthropy.
- Embody the Aggie Core Values and the Foundation Beliefs.
- Contribute to team effectiveness through knowledge-sharing and proactively identifying process improvements.
- Participate in the establishment and attainment of personal, departmental, divisional, and organizational goals and objectives in support of the mission, vision, and goals of the Foundation.
