You are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or closely related field with a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of supervisory and professional accounting experience in Florida Government.
- Master’s degree in Accounting or MBA preferred.
- CPA or CGFO preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of governmental or fund accounting preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work within a nuanced environment.

Essential Job Functions:
- Lead and manage key accounting functions including receivables, payables, property accounting, special assessments, and general ledger.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff; conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
- Assist in financial system operations, integrations, and upgrades across departments.
- Coordinate annual assessment billing and collections in partnership with local agencies.
- Support bond issuance, compliance reporting, and post-issuance requirements.
- Prepare audit materials and ensure timely completion of financial reports.
- Provide financial insights and reporting to senior leadership.
