Tews Company is actively partnering with a leading hospitality group in West Orlando to find a strategic and analytical FP&A Manager with direct restaurant industry experience. This is a direct hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule—Monday through Thursday onsite, with Fridays remote.
The FP&A Manager will be responsible for providing financial planning, analysis, and business insights to senior leadership, with a strong focus on improving both corporate and unit-level performance. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone with a strong background in restaurant or multi-unit retail financial operations, who can turn data into actionable strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, partnering closely with operations, marketing, purchasing, and development teams.
- Analyze restaurant-level performance across key metrics: sales, labor, food costs, controllable expenses, advertising, and fixed costs.
- Build and maintain models to support short-, mid-, and long-term financial planning.
- Prepare and distribute recurring reports including KPIs, flash reports, monthly/quarterly financials, capex reporting, and new store performance analysis.
- Deliver financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and optimize profitability.
- Collaborate with the development team to model ROI on new store openings and lease renewals.
- Identify underperforming locations and support strategic recommendations including remodels, closures, or upgrades.
- Contribute to cost control initiatives and general & administrative (G&A) expense evaluations.
- Ensure data integrity in reporting by working cross-functionally to validate and refine financial inputs.
- Support executive leadership on ad hoc analysis and special projects.
- 4–6 years of experience in FP&A, with a strong preference for restaurant or multi-unit retail industry experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s, CPA, or CMA preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills required; familiarity with database tools like Microsoft Access a plus
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present financial data clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Experience with capital planning, ROI analysis, and cost containment strategies
