As the Director of Shared Accounting Services, you will oversee back-office financial operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Shared Accounting Services team in delivering accurate and timely accounting support to multiple entities.
- Oversee financial process flow, including full-cycle accounts payable, financial reporting, and cash management.
- Ensure standardization of processes and adherence to service level agreements.
- Monitor team metrics and workflows to ensure deadlines, accuracy, and efficiency are achieved.
- Provide coaching, leadership development, and training to accounting staff.
- Drive improvements in technology integration and reporting tools.
- Coordinate annual budgeting processes and oversee preparation of financial statements.
- Serve as a primary contact for internal and external auditors.
- Maintain and recommend accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures in accordance with GAAP.
- Education: B.S./B.A. in Accounting or a related business field (required).
- Experience: At least 7 years of accounting experience, with managerial experience required; Shared Services experience strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other cloud-based applications.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint).
- Leadership: Proven ability to train, develop, and lead teams while deploying process workflows and delivering on deadlines.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Faith Alignment: Must have an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings, and conduct oneself in a manner supportive of its mission.
