Job Summary
Temecula International Academy (TIA) is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Student Wellness Counselor to serve our TK–8 community across two small campuses. With small class sizes and a strong emphasis on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), this role focuses on proactive support, early intervention, and meaningful collaboration with staff and families. TIA is a TK-8th grade charter school in the Temecula Valley that focuses on developing the whole child through world language, small class sizes, social emotional learning, and rigorous academics that prepare students for their next steps in education. We are seeking an individual that will continue to grow with our team of exemplary educators, who are passionate about the school and families, and will continue to cultivate a positive culture for our community.
Requirements / Qualifications
Degree in School Counseling or a related field Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Counseling Knowledge of MTSS, 504 Plans, and student support frameworks Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families Experience in a charter or small school setting preferred Background in SEL and restorative practices preferred
Core Competencies: Commitment to relationship-based, student-centered practices Strong collaboration and communication skills Cultural responsiveness and equity mindset Ability to thrive in a small, team-oriented environment
