Temecula International Academy is seeking a dynamic and student-centered educator to serve as a Differentiated Learning Specialist (TOSA). This role is responsible for improving student outcomes through targeted intervention and enrichment, providing direct small-group instruction to both underperforming and accelerated students. The Differentiated Learning Specialist works collaboratively with teachers and leadership to analyze student data, design responsive instructional plans, and monitor student progress. This role plays a key part in strengthening Tier 1 instruction, implementing Tier 2/3 interventions, and expanding opportunities for advanced learners. TIA is a TK-8th grade charter school in the Temecula Valley that focuses on developing the whole child through world language, small class sizes, social emotional learning, and rigorous academics that prepare students for their next steps in education. We are seeking an individual that will continue to grow with our team of exemplary educators, who are passionate about the school and families, and will continue to cultivate a positive culture for our community.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education and Experience: Valid California Teaching Credential (Multiple Subject, Single Subject, or Education Specialist) English Learner Authorization required Minimum of 3–5 years of successful classroom teaching experience Experience working with diverse student populations, including English Learners, students with disabilities, and historically underserved groups Strong understanding of California standards, assessment practices, and MTSS frameworks Demonstrated ability to use data to drive instruction and collaborate effectively with staff
Skills and Competencies: Data-driven decision making and assessment analysis Expertise in differentiated instruction for both intervention and enrichment Strong small-group instructional practices Progress monitoring and student data tracking systems Effective collaboration and communication with staff and families Knowledge of MTSS/RTI frameworks and tiered support systems Culturally responsive and inclusive teaching practices Strong organizational and time management skills
