CNC Machine Shop Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Machining Manager to lead and oversee our machining operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient production, high-quality output, and strict adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical expertise, proven leadership skills, and the ability to guide a team of machinists in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily machining operations and ensure production goals and quality standards are met.
• Supervise, train, and mentor a team of machinists, fostering continuous improvement.
• Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of machining equipment, including lathes, presses, and related tools.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication of components.
• Apply best practices in materials handling and inventory management to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.
• Utilize CAD software to support design modifications and process improvements.
• Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth production flow and resolve operational challenges.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on machining experience.
• Proficiency in operating lathes, presses, and general machining equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
• Experience with materials handling in a production or factory environment.
• Working knowledge of CAD software.
• Experience with Fanuc controls is a plus.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Excellent leadership and team-management abilities.
