What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Estimator position at Teksky LLC?
We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the construction department’s business objectives by managing the full bidding lifecycle and delivering accurate, competitive project estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the bidding process from inception through completion for assigned projects
- Solicit, receive, analyze, and evaluate bids for:
- Conceptual Estimates
- Hard Bids (GMP & Lump Sum)
- Major Change Orders
- Prepare detailed scopes of work to support estimating efforts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors
- Review and interpret project documents, including specifications, general conditions, and schedules
- Assist with project buyout and collaborate with Project Management teams
- Support subcontractor/vendor prequalification processes
- Stay current on construction materials, pricing trends, and industry best practices
- Ensure timely, high-quality deliverables while managing multiple priorities
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in industrial and commercial construction estimating
- Strong knowledge of construction management processes, including:
- Estimating, bidding, and purchasing
- Subcontractor negotiations
- Design and construction technology
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- High attention to detail with a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
