Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and key performance insights.
- Review project revenues, costs, budgets, and variances for accuracy and performance.
- Reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts and prepare consolidated financial statements.
- Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.
- Generate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable; process transactions and prepare client invoices.
- Manage tax filings and maintain the firm’s tax calendar.
- Record cash receipts and disbursements for IOLTA trust and operating accounts.
- Provide monthly financial reports and insights to firm leadership.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with year-end audit and financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Experience of accounting or bookkeeping experience in a law firm or accounting firm environment.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and standard accounting procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data entry, and accounting software.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality of financial information.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
