Job Summary
Client is a fast-growing, high-tech metal fabrication contract manufacturer committed to delivering world-class customer service. We are seeking a results-driven, detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate, competitive quotes for PCI’s services. You will collaborate closely with Account Service Managers, the Business Development Director, Proposal Engineers, and Manufacturing teams to ensure estimates are both accurate and feasible.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer documents, drawings, and RFQs to determine project requirements.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineers, Proposal Engineers, Sales, and Operations to confirm manufacturability and compliance with customer specifications.
- Prepare timely and accurate estimates, including cost, scope, labor, and any required outsourced services.
- Understand customer goals and challenges to create tailored, competitive proposals.
- Participate in technical discussions and support internal teams with relevant engineering input.
- Coordinate with Procurement to secure competitive supplier pricing.
- Review Purchase Orders, Bills of Material, and kick-off documentation to ensure alignment with quoted specifications.
- Join order kick-off meetings to support smooth internal handoff and execution.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the estimating process.

- Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred; familiarity with STEP, IGES, DWG, DXF, and PDF file formats is beneficial.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work for extended periods at a desk using a computer.
