At 2:00 PM, you step onto the floor of a modern, high‑volume CNC operation in Chicago’s northwest suburbs. Through TekPro, you’ll join a team that trusts skilled operators to keep production moving and quality uncompromised.
What you’ll do
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to fabricate parts that meet strict quality and production targets.
- Run one or more of the following: Swiss CNC lathes, conventional CNC lathes, CNC mills, grinders, and Wire EDM.
- Make in-process adjustments and continually monitor machines to ensure dimensional integrity.
- Troubleshoot issues, correct problems on the fly, and keep equipment running optimally.
- Deburr, buff, and sand components to blueprint specifications.
- Inspect parts visually and dimensionally using standard inspection tools and techniques.
- Perform preventive maintenance as required.

What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of hands-on CNC operating experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints; comfort working with small precision parts and tight tolerances.
- Clear written and verbal communication; familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts.
Pay & schedule
- Base pay: $22.00–$33.00/hour
- Early 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM (10% shift differential)
