What You Will DoPatient Advocacy & Clinical Excellence
Serve as the patient advocate throughout the surgical experience
Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care across all perioperative settings
Protect patient dignity, privacy, and rights at all times
Intraoperative Nursing Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee care during surgical procedures
Ensure correct patient, procedure, site, and documentation at all times
Perform surgical counts to prevent retained items
Safely administer medications and monitor patient response
Manage specimens according to policy and ensure accurate tracking
Patient Safety & Monitoring
Protect patients from surgical risks including chemical, electrical, thermal, and mechanical hazards
Monitor and maintain stability across all systems including respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and more
Prevent surgical site infections through adherence to sterile and safety protocols
Collaboration & Communication
Communicate patient status effectively with the surgical team and care continuum
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams
Use problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to maintain a positive team environment
Professional Practice & Growth
Maintain competencies and pursue ongoing professional development
Participate in quality initiatives and DNV education requirements
Deliver consistent, high-quality care across all patient populations and settings
What You Bring
Education
Associate Degree in Nursing required
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
Licensure & Certifications
Active Oregon RN license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required
CNOR, Periop 101, and CRASE training preferred
(CRASE required if assignment exceeds 6 months)
Salary : $65 - $66
