This role owns the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of enterprise security controls across networks, systems, and endpoints. The Systems Security Engineer focuses on risk reduction, threat detection, and security architecture, while partnering with IT, compliance, and leadership to ensure security controls are effective, measurable, and aligned with business and regulatory expectations.

Must-Have
- 8 years of experience in information security, network security, or systems security
- Strong hands-on experience designing and supporting enterprise security controls
- Deep understanding of network, endpoint, identity, and data security
- Experience administering security technologies such as:
- Firewalls, VPNs, IPS/IDS
- Endpoint protection (EDR/XDR)
- Email and web security
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Encryption and MFA
- Proven ability to assess risk and vulnerabilities using scanning, testing, and analysis tools
- Working knowledge of incident analysis, threat research, and security forensics
- Experience supporting audit, compliance, and regulatory requests
- Ability to clearly communicate security risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience
- Design, implement, and maintain security architecture and controls across enterprise systems and networks
- Monitor, manage, and tune security platforms to detect and prevent threats
- Evaluate vulnerabilities and risks; recommend and implement remediation strategies
- Analyze security events and incidents; perform root-cause analysis and response actions
- Partner with IT and compliance teams to support audits, assessments, and policy enforcement
- Develop, maintain, and update security policies, standards, and procedures
- Track threat intelligence, emerging risks, and industry trends; adjust controls accordingly
- Establish metrics and reporting to measure security effectiveness
- Support change management processes to ensure security requirements are met
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other technical team members as needed
- Experience in regulated industries
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Cloud security experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Security certifications (Security , CISSP, CEH, GSEC, OSCP, or similar)
