- Assist with system upgrades, cybersecurity considerations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as a technical interface with SCADA vendors, EPC contractors, and system integrators.
- Review technical submittals, drawings, procedures, and as‑built documentation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including electrical engineering, commissioning, IT/OT, and operations.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate SCADA documentation including configurations, functional descriptions, and interface definitions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and internal governance requirements.
- Support health, safety, and environmental requirements applicable to renewable energy and offshore operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- Typically 5 years of experience supporting SCADA systems within offshore wind, renewables, power generation, or large industrial infrastructure projects.
- Hands‑on experience with SCADA platforms and industrial control systems.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., IEC 61850, IEC 60870‑5‑104, Modbus, OPC‑UA, TCP/IP).
- Experience supporting commissioning, testing, and operational readiness activities.
- Familiarity with grid‑connected assets, substations, and renewable energy systems is strongly preferred.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex control system environments.
- Ability to work across multi‑disciplinary teams and external vendors.
- Comfortable operating in dynamic project and operational settings.
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Work Environment
This role may require periodic travel to project sites, including offshore, control rooms, or vendor facilities along the U.S. East Coast, including coastal and port locations supporting offshore wind developments.
