Position: Electrical Engineer - Direct Hire
Location: Houston, TX
Summary:
The Electrical Engineer will support the design, integration, and execution of electrical systems for large-scale industrial and energy infrastructure projects. This role collaborates closely with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure electrical systems are designed and executed in a reliable, safe, and code-compliant manner. This is a direct hire opportunity supporting complex capital projects across industrial and energy sectors.
Job Duties:
Electrical Design and Engineering
• Develop electrical engineering deliverables including single-line diagrams, load studies, and equipment specifications
• Design and support power distribution systems, motor control centers (MCCs), substations, grounding, and lighting systems
• Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and internal requirements
Coordination and Vendor Interface
• Interface with vendors and review electrical equipment drawings and technical documentation
• Coordinate electrical scope with controls, instrumentation, process, and mechanical engineering teams
• Support integration of electrical systems across multiple disciplines
Construction and Commissioning Support
• Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning activities
• Support troubleshooting efforts and field resolution of electrical issues as needed
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting electrical systems on industrial or energy-related projects
• Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and other applicable electrical codes and standards
• Experience supporting projects through construction and commissioning is preferred
• Strong coordination, communication, and collaboration skills
