Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the HR team to support recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried positions, including posting jobs, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and assisting with candidate communication.
- Assist with onboarding new hires by preparing materials, coordinating orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Help maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and HRIS to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal requirements.
- Participate in sourcing efforts by leveraging job boards, networking, and employee referral programs to build candidate pipelines.
- Provide general HR support by answering employee questions and escalating issues to senior HR team members as needed.
- Assist in administering HR processes such as status changes, leave tracking, and employee file maintenance.
- Support the performance management process by helping prepare evaluation forms and coordinating with managers and HR team members.
- Contribute to employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and internal communication efforts.
- Partner with HR teammates to track and report on key HR and recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, turnover, new hire retention).
- Learn and assist with other HR functions as needed under the guidance of experienced HR staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with HRIS systems (Paycom a plus).
