Accounting Manager | Hybrid | Tampa, FL | $100-120k, plus bonus (commensurate with experience)

We’re partnering exclusively with a fast-growing, private equity–backed company headquartered in Tampa to identify an Accounting Manager who thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
This is a high-visibility role working directly with a top-tier Controller and leadership team, with a clear path to future Controller-level responsibility as the company continues to scale through organic growth and M&A.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations and team oversight
- Own monthly and year-end close processes
- Prepare and present financial reporting packages with variance analysis
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, controls, and GAAP compliance
- Drive automation and process improvements
- Support M&A activity, including integration and due diligence
- Develop dashboards and insights for senior leadership
- Remain hands-on while mentoring and developing the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or other certification strongly preferred.
- 5 years of accounting experience, supervisory experience a must
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting processes, and multi-entity consolidation.
- Proven experience owning and managing the close process in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated people management and team development skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities — you can present financial findings clearly to a non-finance audience.
- High attention to detail with a proactive, self-starter mindset and the ability to manage tight deadlines.
- Experience with a cloud-based ERP system.
- Exposure to M&A activity including due diligence and post-acquisition integration a plus.
- Background in a multi-entity, operationally complex, or technology-forward organization.
