A leading global law firm is seeking a Conflicts Analyst. This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive conflicts-of-interest research and analysis for new business matters, lateral attorney candidates, and other firm engagements to ensure compliance with applicable ethics rules and firm policies. The ideal candidate will have prior law firm conflicts experience, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilitie
- sConduct comprehensive conflicts searches for new business, lateral attorney candidates, and firm engagements using the firm's conflicts management system
- .Analyze potential legal and business conflicts involving clients, matters, attorneys, and related entities
- .Review engagement details, corporate affiliations, and client information to identify actual and potential conflicts
- .Prepare detailed conflicts reports and provide recommendations to Conflicts Attorneys, the Office of General Counsel, and Risk Management leadership
- .Coordinate with attorneys, legal assistants, business development, recruiting, and administrative staff to obtain additional information needed to complete conflicts analyses
- .Assist with conflicts clearance for lateral attorney candidates and incoming client matters
- .Draft and review ethical walls, conflict waivers, and related documentation as needed
- .Maintain accurate records of conflicts analyses, resolutions, and approvals
- .Ensure compliance with firm policies, ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct, and applicable jurisdictional ethics requirements
- .Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives within the Risk Management department
