Project Overview:
The consultant will take over responsibilities from a former manager to oversee factory accounting and support the local team. This position requires a professional who can operate independently while mentoring junior staff.
- Manage month-end closing and factory-specific reporting.
- Oversee and review the work of the site "bidding team" (3 employees).
- Perform revenue recognition using various methods for manufacturing.
- Bridge data gaps between the current system and manual spreadsheets to provide actionable information.
- Pass knowledge and mentorship to junior and mid-level accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- Must have a background equivalent to a Senior Cost Accountant
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Expert-level Excel skills are mandatory ("living on Excel") to manage manual tracking and data consolidation across multiple departments.
- Deep understanding of Standard Costing and ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.
- System Experience: Hands-on experience with manufacturing ERPs is highly preferred.
