The Opportunity
We are seeking a precise and proactive Interim Senior Accountant to join our team for a defined 3-4 month engagement. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations during a [transition/leave of absence/system implementation]. Key Responsibilities
- Month-End Close: Lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Audit Support: Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Analysis: Perform variance analysis (budget vs. actual) to provide insights into departmental performance.
- Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years of progressive accounting experience; previous experience in an interim or consultative capacity is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Macros). Experience with [Insert ERP system, e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle] is highly desirable.
