Tatum b yr Randstad is working with a client in the manufacturing industry that is looking to bring on a consultant for a 6 month project that would focus on taking on Senior Cost Accounting responsibilities. The company is on a hybrid schedule (4 days in the office and one day remote). The person taking on this contract Senior Cost Accountant opportunity would be handling the following duties:
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly/quarterly variance analysis related to labor, materials, and overhead.
- Responsible for maintaining standard cost system settings.
- Responsible for providing cost and margin analysis, and working closely with senior management to provide information to support pricing.
- Reconcile inventory accounts and provide inventory analysis for management's review
- Assist with preparing SOX documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in accounting or finance is required.
- 5 years of month end close and cost accounting experience is desired. Prior experience in a standard costing environment is required.
- 4 years of inventory accounting and variance analysis is required.
- Intermediate excel skills are required and prior experience with Dynamics 365 is desired
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are a must.
