I. Position Overview
The Vice President of Strategy is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the company's overall strategic framework, serving as a core strategic hub connecting the Board of Directors, the CEO, and various business units. This role drives the company's medium- and long-term growth, business portfolio optimization, and major transformation initiatives through in-depth analysis of industry trends, competitive landscape, capital, and business opportunities, ensuring the company maintains a sustained competitive advantage in a complex and ever-changing market environment.
II. Core Responsibilities
Lead the company's medium- and long-term development strategy, annual strategic planning, and rolling strategic assessments, ensuring alignment with the goals of the Board of Directors and management.
Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, competitive landscape, technological evolution, and the macroeconomic environment, providing strategic insights and recommendations for senior management decision-making.
Lead the design and implementation of major company-wide projects (growth strategies, business transformation, global expansion, organizational adjustments, etc.).
Responsible for business portfolio and resource allocation analysis, driving the growth of high-potential businesses and the adjustment or divestment of underperforming businesses.
Support and lead strategic due diligence and business feasibility analysis related to mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and joint ventures.
Collaborate with core departments such as finance, operations, product, technology, and sales to translate strategy into actionable plans.
Establish strategic execution tracking and evaluation mechanisms (KPIs/OKRs) to ensure strategic implementation and closed-loop results.
Prepare high-quality strategic reports, business analyses, and decision-making materials for the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive team.
Manage and develop the strategic planning/corporate development team, building a high-level strategic talent pipeline.
Identify key risks and opportunities in an uncertain environment and propose forward-looking solutions.
III. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
20 years of experience in strategy, consulting, corporate development, or related fields, including at least 5 years of experience at the executive or Vice President/Senior Director level.
Experience working in a consulting firm (e.g., strategy consulting) or the strategic department of a large enterprise is preferred.
Systematic understanding and successful practice of business models, competitive strategies, and capital operations.
Excellent data analysis and business modeling skills, able to structure complex problems and form clear conclusions.
Outstanding communication, presentation, and influencing skills, able to drive consensus and execution in senior management and cross-functional environments.
