Accrete is a dual-use AI software company that licenses its Knowledge Engine Platform and Expert AI Agents to government and enterprise clients. The platform creates a unified semantic representation of an organization’s ground truth—capturing tacit domain knowledge, understanding contextual relevance, and connecting information silos—enabling expert agents to reason across complex data and support high-stakes decisions with confidence.

From national security to commercial use cases, Accrete delivers mission-critical decision intelligence and automation on a single platform.

As we continue to scale, we are seeking a Vice President of Strategy & Operations to help translate company strategy into structured execution and build the operational systems required to support our next phase of growth.

Role Overview

The VP of Strategy & Operations will serve as a senior operator responsible for converting evolving strategy into clear priorities, structured decisions, and consistent execution across the company.

This role acts as a central driver of clarity, alignment, and accountability at the leadership level, working across Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market, Finance, and Operations. The position will also design and implement the operating infrastructure required to scale the organization effectively.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and operational, able to bring structure to ambiguity while ensuring initiatives are properly resourced, executed, and tracked.

Key Responsibilities

Shape and Structure Company Strategy

  • Partner with executive leadership to translate high-level objectives into a focused set of actionable company priorities
  • Bring clarity to ambiguous or evolving strategic discussions and drive alignment on direction
  • Define sequencing, dependencies, and feasibility across initiatives
  • Support leadership in evaluating tradeoffs across time, resources, and capital

Drive Company-Wide Execution

  • Ensure strategic priorities are clearly owned, appropriately resourced, and delivered
  • Work cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, GTM, and Operations to reduce misalignment and remove execution bottlenecks
  • Track progress against commitments and ensure leadership maintains accountability and follow-through

Build And Evolve The Company Operating System

  • Establish and refine planning processes including:
    • Annual strategic planning
    • Quarterly execution planning
    • Multi-year strategic outlooks (3–5 year planning)
  • Implement operating cadences such as weekly and monthly leadership rhythms
  • Develop goal-setting frameworks (e.g., OKRs) and reporting structures
  • Create dashboards and decision frameworks that provide clear visibility into performance, progress, and risks
Improve Organizational Effectiveness

  • Ensure teams operate with clear goals, ownership structures, and accountability
  • Identify gaps in alignment, structure, or execution and work with leadership and HR to address them
  • Support leaders in improving team effectiveness and execution discipline
  • Act as a bridge across teams to ensure strategy is deployed consistently across the organization

Partner on Financial and Resource Planning

  • Work closely with the COO and Finance team to align strategy with financial and operational realities
  • Translate strategic initiatives into structured business cases with clear resource requirements and financial implications
  • Support prioritization through structured analysis and financial modeling

Executive Communications

  • Develop clear executive narratives and decision frameworks
  • Build high-quality materials such as board decks, strategic plans, and investment cases
  • Translate complex analyses into concise, decision-oriented insights

Required Experience

  • 15 years of professional experience in strategy, operations, consulting, investment, or business leadership roles
  • 5 years operating at a senior leadership level, preferably in high-growth technology companies
  • Experience driving cross-functional initiatives across product, engineering, and go-to-market organizations
  • Demonstrated experience building operating frameworks, planning processes, or company-wide execution systems
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities, including business case development and financial modeling
  • Experience developing executive-level materials for leadership teams or boards
  • Proven ability to operate effectively without formal authority and drive alignment across senior stakeholders

Preferred Backgrounds

  • Strategy or operations leadership at a high-growth SaaS or AI company
  • Management consulting (e.g., strategy consulting firms) with operating experience in industry
  • Startup scaling environments where systems and processes were built from early stages
