Quick Service Attendant- The Phoenix BBQ

Food & Beverage Quick Service Attendants play a key role in the guest experience by providing friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Success in this role requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and guest-ready restaurant.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service while creating a welcoming experience for each guest
• Accurately process guest orders and payments using the point-of-sale system
• Welcome guests, answer questions, provide menu recommendations, and assist with general resort information
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, allergen information, and resort amenities to confidently assist guests
• Practice and uphold responsible alcohol service while complying with all applicable laws and company policies
• Complete opening and closing duties in accordance with departmental checklists and standard operating procedures
• Work collaboratively to ensure accurate food presentation and timely delivery to guests
• Monitor guest satisfaction by responding to requests, addressing concerns, and communicating issues to supervisors as needed
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary dining areas, service stations, and workspaces by bussing tables, stocking supplies, removing trash and recycling, and completing routine cleaning duties
• Assist with outdoor operations, including arranging or storm stacking furniture, snow removal, and maintaining safe, guest-ready outdoor spaces
• Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Knowledge:

• Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Food Handlers Certification upon hire
• Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification upon hire
• Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
• Experience in using Square Point of Sale and/or Square for Restaurants preferred
• Is self-motivated and capable of working diligently without constant supervision
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers and guests
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings

Work Environment: 

Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during Holiday and Peak days. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment.  Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff.

Physical Demands of Position Include: 

Will often lift and carry up to 25 pounds. 80-100% of the time will be spent standing, walking, reaching, talking, and hearing. 25-50% of the time may be spent being exposed to the outdoors including winter weather conditions. Occasionally sitting – less than 15% of the time.
