What are the responsibilities and job description for the A/R Collections Specialist position at Tandym Group?
Tandym Group has multiple immediate and exclusive opportunities for experienced A/R Collections Specialists supporting a client in Georgia. These contracts will be 100% remote.
This role will focus primarily on accounts receivable follow up and collections, with some billing responsibilities as needed. The A/R Collections Specialists will work on a combination of commercial and government payers to resolve outstanding claims from initial follow up through final resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Perform A/R follow-up and collections on outstanding hospital accounts
- Research, resolve, and appeal claim denials through full lifecycle resolution
- Submit and track appeals until payment or final determination
- Work both commercial and government payer accounts
- Maintain productivity expectations of at least 40 collectible accounts per day (may vary by assignment)
- Prioritize and manage work queues efficiently while meeting quality and productivity metrics
- Communicate directly with insurance carriers to resolve outstanding claims
- Utilize multiple EMR/RCM systems, including CPSI/TrueBridge
Required Experience
- 5 years of healthcare A/R and/or patient financial services experience
- Experience using CPSI/TrueBridge
Strong background in:
A/R Follow-Up & Claims Collections- Denial Management (full lifecycle resolution)
- Appeals creation, submission and follow-up
- Hospital (inpatient) collections experience
- Experience working multiple EMR/RCM systems
- Experience with both commercial and government payers
- Comfortable making outbound calls to insurance companies to resolve claims
- Proven ability to manage work queues and consistently meet productivity goals
- Metrics-driven with a demonstrated ability to resolve 40-60 collectible accounts per day
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Georgia hospital collections
- Previous lead or training experience
- Experience with higher-balance specialties such as Pain Management, ENT and Podiatry
- Professional Method II billing experience
