An enterprise financial services organization is seeking a Scrum Master in Vienna, VA. This role supports Agile delivery teams in a complex environment and focuses on facilitation, coaching, and continuous improvement across Scrum and SAFe practices.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday through Friday (3 days per week onsite)
Hours: Standard business
Setting: Hybrid
Responsibilities:
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to clarify priorities, manage backlogs, and support delivery goals.
Identify and remove impediments, manage dependencies, and escalate delivery risks when appropriate.
Coach teams on Scrum, Lean-Agile, and SAFe principles to strengthen accountability and self-organization.
Support team progress toward sprint goals, program increment objectives, and broader delivery milestones.
Qualifications:
5-10 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with a strong preference for 10 years.
Experience supporting Agile teams in large, complex enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of Scrum, Agile, Lean, and SAFe principles and practices.
Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and program-level events.
Strong coaching, facilitation, conflict-resolution, servant-leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Experience partnering with Product Owners on backlog management and prioritization.
Experience identifying and removing impediments, managing dependencies, and driving continuous improvement.
Desired Skills:
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), SAFe Scrum Master, Advanced Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP, or similar Agile certification.
Experience working in financial services or banking.
Experience supporting multiple teams or Agile Release Train activities.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile delivery platforms.
Salary : $70 - $75
