Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors, production lines, and utility systems.
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment as needed.
- Execute scheduled maintenance and inspections in accordance with maintenance plans and downtime windows.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Identify root causes of equipment issues by observing operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Replace defective parts and adjust machine functions using standard tools and precision devices.
- Fabricate and install repair parts as needed using machine shop tools and equipment.
- Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
- Partner with Engineering on new projects, installations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate ongoing issues or opportunities across shifts.
- Follow all safety, GMP, and company compliance policies to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and automated control systems preferred.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills under time-sensitive conditions.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Team-oriented with a proactive, safety-first mindset.
